Founded in 1911, Baker College is the largest private not-for-profit American college located throughout the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Offering quality education in more than 140 career programs for almost a century now, the Baker College is now a name of respect, authority and educational grandeur in the field of professional education. History:

Root stones of this educational legacy can be traced to Ferris Business College, founded in 1888 by Woodbridge Nathan Ferris, inspired by a "boom" in lumbering and Great Lakes shipping. Eldon E. Baker was the person who followed the footsteps and founded the great Baker College in 1911. It was 1969 when the organization became a non-profit venture. The college received its first approval for associate degree in 1981 and for bachelor degree in 1986, and since than, there is no looking back.

Baker College is now the largest non-profit private educational institution in Michigan with over 38,000 students enrolled in more than 140 programs on 12 campuses and five branch locations.

Baker College is recognized as an institution of higher education by the U.S. Secretary of Education, U.S. Department of Education and is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, A Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
