The University was founded in 1898 as a result of “Evening Institute for Young Men” organized by Young Men`s Christian Association in May, 1896 and since then it has evolved from a parochial university, serving mostly at local level, to the largest private national research university. The university is situated in the heart of Boston and offers several programs leading to degrees through the doctorate in six undergraduate colleges and eight graduate and professional schools. University enrolls massive number of students every year constituting more than 15000 undergraduate and 5000 graduate students by delivering both on-campus and online education.
